i think of ebonypearl as a reasonably reliable source, and this is at least mildly scary. i've memoried her post and i'm linking here, so hopefully y'all will take a look and make up your own mind.

She did respond to me and was very fuzzy about government's actual involvment beyond organizing a bunch of pastors to give the speeches.

NOWHERE was she able to tell me what government agencies were specifically involved or in what ways. I can make up my own mind about it, but right now my mind is that FEMA went to the religious community and asked for help. THERE IS NO EVIDENCE THAT THEY (the gubermint) CREATED THE MATERIAL. She asks us to take her story at face value that the government was involved without providing any evidence other than her own testimony.

I choose to wait for evidence before forming my opinion.

kathrynt's lj has a small discussion going on about this, too. there's only about 12 comments at this link; in one of them, there's a fairly detailed analysis of the document in question. folks at kathrynt's lj aren't convinced that the US Gov't is at fault, either. iirc, the conclusion was that ebonypearl was invited to a local FEMA conferance in Ohio. but read for yourself.

I read through both and my notions were pretty well represented, i.e. unlikely that there is a (gov't) plot here. IOT avoid spamming the threads, I've kept my yap zipped.
