::hehe:: and i was about to make a comment that all those who wanted me to mail an assortment of mardi gras beads to them after the holiday needed to show me some skin!

::grins::

but i've figured out how to get beads without showing more than is appropriate - hang out next to the kids! lol.

wow. those are niiiiiiceeee. and colorful enough to be mardi gras beads in and of themselves - you looking for any color or set in particular? i still got 10lbs (no lie) of beads from last year.

Purple is always good. Ansteorran Yellow would be nice to wear to parties. %^)

But don't worry about it unless you have extras. You may need that 10 lbs. for something (someone?).

trust me, any time you need mardi gras beads, we of the barony of axemoor are more than willing to provide.... and provide... and provide! there are *tons* of parades each year, each one filled with floats throwing enough swag that you could wear a tunic dresses of woven beads and be perfectly legal walking down the streets. :-p

i (alas) have no favored swain to bestow my beads upon, and so i offer them freely to my friends from abroad. purple and yellow for the my daughty ansteorran warrior it is. are you coming to gulf wars? do i recall correctly that you have a wife? would she like some beads as well?

I do have a wife, and she is amazingly uninterested in beads.

Alas, too, mundane issues keep me from Gulf Wars this year. We finally ran into a credit-brick-wall, so we are crashing it down with Dave Ramsey-ian enthusiasm.

And as for you standing with the children to get your beads... more'sth'pity.

I haven't done a Mardi Gras yet, but it's on my list of stuff to do before I die, along with Pennsic, a Mexican cruise, and a tour of medieval european castles giving extra special attention to Scotland.
