i hate it. i hate being clinically depressed, and not on meds.

where the hell is the 'easy' button?! or at least the 'not quite as hard to keep your chin up' button. bleh.

Oh, yeah. That stuff sucks.

I've found that SAM-E works fairly well (for me) as an antidepressant. Didn't like the spotty results I was getting from St. John's wort.

i got a bad reaction to sjw altogether; what's SAM-E? if i could afford it, paxil is my drug of choice. ::shrugs::

SAM-E is another herbal that I got turned on to by my aunts. Works oodles better as a mood stabilizer. Mind you, I'm coming at it from the bipolar end of the spectrum. But 2 SAM-E tabs get me through the rougher days fairly well - Kelly can still see the underlying mood, but she's always been able to read me.

Oops - forgot. Prices are pretty reasonable. I buy a box of blister packs at Costco, for around $40. One blister pack for my briefcase, the rest live at home and go in the dailies.

huh. the link indicates that you should buy $100/month of it for effective doses. that's a lot. i dunno. i'll look for it, tho, see what the packaging says.

OK, so I went and checked. My "normal" dosage is 200mg/day (aka one 200mg tab). If I'm having a bad day, I double up. The box is 90, 200mg tabs, and runs me about $40 at Costco. Figure that a normal box lasts me 2 - 2 1/2 months right now. Works out to about $15/month, I guess.

all right, that makes more sense. i was reading that, and i couldn't figure out why the link was rec'ing 5x the medication listed on the bottle as standard! eesh.
