does anyone know what happened to atomic?  he hasn't posted (unlocked to me) since turkey day.  i'm mildly worried that he's having fun in the Chinese sense of the word....

ok, good. i mean, it's not fun to have no intarwebz, but it's a lot better than 'well, we had a hurricane right after the 8.5 earthquake, which occured just as the guerilla rebels were climbing over the compound fence...'

yeah, i know, i got a good imagination. this is why i need to hear from friends every so often. if i don't, my imagination starts combining with my paranoia, and i'm wondering where to send the troops i rally...

Well, did have a hurricane right after I arrived.

Then there were the two runaways from an embassy family, a parental-child-abduction case last week, an assault-rape case the other evening. . . . and all our top Peace Corps folks are rotating out.
