Weather or not...

hurricane dean is coming due next week.  my co-worker tells me it's the same everything as katrina, so i'm keeping an eye on it.  if i need to evacuate, it will probably be to my parents' lake house in AK.  i will call wendi and scott if i go, though, to let everyone know i'm all right.  i don't think it'll be that bad... but i'm packing books and moving them upstairs, just in case.

funny, i don't care about the $600 table and chair set i just bought, or the leather for my armor or my power tools... but the books are priceless - go geekdom!!

When I had to leave for Dragon before one of the storms we put everything that we couldn't replace in large sealed plastic bins. This included art off the walls.

more likely I'm the one that will get my ass kicked Monika. Texas more specifically my neck of it in Houston is way overdue. Right now its trending to be a category 3 by the time in hits the gulf after hammering the yucatan peninsula.
