.... and this Sally also sells power outs, downed tree limbs, and $1200 generators....
Other than being bored spitless for a few days, and less than wonderfully comfy, I'm fine, the house is fine, the roomie's fine, the dogs are fine. The generator was woefully under-utilized, and ran like a champ. I need to hunt for a box tomorrow to organize and pack cords, lanterns, extra water jugs.... While I'm doing this, I need to remember to get some fuel stabilizer and fly strips. For all that the generator is oversized, I'm very happy with it. Relatively easy to use and operate. Roomie and I are going to re-arrange the garage this weekend, so we can put the generator away neatly. I still don't understand why, in an area with few to no basements, a distinct lack of high-pitch roofs, the builders also pass on both closet space and decently sized garages. I have a 1-car, which is undersized for the house. But I feel like every house down here, because of the total lack of 'normally used for storage' areas, should have at least a 1.5 or 2 car garage. Instead, it seems like you're luck to get a 1 car, and a rediculous amount of times you end up with a car port, not even a closed-in garage area. It's.... weird.
Anyway. I'm back. And tired. And def taking a HOT shower tonight, followed by a COLD shower and cool bed.
