the problem with a well-written WIP...

.... is that it's never written fast enough!  Debra Noellert has a new story going on here:

http://www.fanfiction.net/s/7844663/1/A_Good_Guide_is_Hard_to_Find ; and if you look at the dates, she's not exactly writing *slowly*.  she is, in fact, updating in a 'timely fashion'.  it's not fast enough for me, because i've *got* to find out what happens next!

*wriggles in impatient anticipation*

and also, i hereby apologize to everyone who's waiting on any updates from me on any stories anywhere - Miss Noellert is outpacing me by a long-shot, and if *i* think waiting for *her* is hard, waiting for *me* must be downright torturous!

That's the reason I stay away from reading WIPs, and I don't post them anymore, either. I posted one a long time ago in a different fandom, and when I didn't finish it I had massive guilt. I was glad when a reader needed closure so badly, they wrote the ending. I found out about that a few years ago, heh. Anyway, once the story finishes, link us, ok? That goes for your fics, too! :)

*grins* i completely understand. otoh, if i didn't post WIPs, i'd never post anything. :-p

and yes, i will absolutely spread the joy when she - or i! - finish a fic. :)
