boogieshoeshi everybody!
so, you may or may not know that i live in an apt complex. and it is very nice, but it comes with the occasional apt-complex issue. like when on wednesday at some point, some contractor working for the cable company disconnected my line from the line giving a signal feed for cable and internet to one that doesn't give a signal feed at all.
not knowing this, when i came home wed and saw i was having data issues, i figured 'blip in the service'. it didn't clear up all evening, so thurs i called the cable company, checked for outage or tech issues, of which there were none showing on their end, and had them send a refresh signal. because sometimes you need to. no joy. so i called this morning and had them send out a guy to take a look. who got here around 3.30pm and fixed it in about ten minutes. most of which time was taken figuring which cable in the nest of wires in the box was the right one, and re-burying the feed cord.
at that, he said our apt's cable box thing was actually pretty clean-looking; he'd seen some that were just bloody awful!
anyway, i'm back, for anyone who worried. and aside from a bit of withdrawal, no health issues. ;)
