the search for fitness continues...

with a could have been hit 4yo, and an unexpected obstacle to tonight's fitness plan.

which is to say, absent-minded professor-ism. *sigh*  i went to target, and bought some pretty weights, lifting gloves, and a wrist wrap, only to discover that i'd left my wallet in the backpack with the gym clothes in it.  how come no one ever talks about obstacles like this when you're just starting out?  this is something beginners need to know: make sure you switch your wallet back to your other bag when you get home.

the 4yo was, well, typical 4yo who was sauntering right out into the road off the curb without paying any attention whatsoever to his surroundings.  all due respect to 4yos, but they have a distressing lack of survival skills when it comes to things like *crossing the street*.  this was in the mall/ target parking lot, so i was already slowed down, and i came to a stop well back before his crossing point, when *he* was about 5 feet from the curb.  i could see this darwinism waiting to happen.  eesh.

that's all today.  it's boomy and i might get rain, but i'm not counting on it.  i'm tired, probably due to the unexpected obstacle thing.

Eeep! A toddler once wandered behind my car as I was getting ready to back out of a parking stall. I would *not* have seen him. Thank goodness Grandma (I think) came running over—I could see her. I have no idea why some folks hate leashes for kids. If they're not going to keep track of their offspring, they need something. :-/
