well, nothing jumped out at them right away, so it was relatively smooth sailing, despite the fact that my veins like to disappear and roll on the nurses. so i feel like a pincushion, because they stuck me in 3 different places. one of those places was the inside of my right wrist, on the theory that it might get more blood, but no dice, and a big bruise that probably won't let me do much embroidery this weekend.
the glucose drink wasn't as bad as i thought it might be - it tasted like extra-sweet kool-aid. i wouldn't want to drink it again, ever, but it was pretty easy to drink. i didn't feel like throwing up until almost time to go home, and i think it was more that one of my medications has a tendency to make me feel a little nauseated, especially if i don't eat carbs with it. obviously, no carbs today!
i never really woke up this morning, so after the 3.5hr-long appt, i came right home and ate a gingersnap cookie (helps with the nausea), and some potato salad for lunch and then went to sleep for 3 hrs...
to sum up: probably, i'm ok, although i'm continuing to lose weight targeted at 1llb/wk. i won't know the numbers and exactly what it means until i get the call from the doctor, though.
