got to mom and dad's house!
Nov. 20th, 2012 09:01 ami got in just fine on Saturday, early afternoon, after starting out on Friday, right after work. i just now got online on my dad's computer to tell everyone i made it fine. mom and dad have wi-fi, but i'm having trouble getting mine to get on the network. so... probably won't even be online as much as i thought i was, which wasn't going to be a whole lot anyway.
it's great to see all the nieces and nephews, and connect with my siblings again. we don't see each other enough. i'm partly to blame, i suppose, but so is the economy, and just the general tides of life.
i found out when i got here my vacation has been half-planned for me already, which cracks me up. and mom, of course, wants to do everything in the world in the time remaining. i'm glad i took an extra monday off to recover from my vacation, lol! if i have half mom's energy when i'm 40, i'll be happy. if i have half mom's energy when i'm in my mid-60s, i'll consider myself very lucky indeed. that woman will have the grim reaper chasing her all over tarnation when it's finally time to go - because there's always just one more thing to do! and you know what? that's how it should be.
to the 'mericans on my flist, happy turkey day! (to everyone else, happy turkeys ;-) )
