fun things to do to your siblings when you're all adults

so i've been emailing my eldest niece, who is my brother's daughter (herewith MBED), about my SCA activities from time to time.  the nieci and nephilim kind of know that i dress up on weekends, and kind of know that it's about the middle ages.  i sent MBED pics from this past gulf wars, and a short enthusiastic description of stuff we do.  and generated the following response:

MBED:  wow. you are busy.  my weekends are...

sleep. eat. possibly play soccer. sleep. sleep.  bored out of my mind...

and it. continues...

of course, bored kids can create problems, so i cheerily replied:

Ask your mother to help you build a volcano this weekend.  This is ‘kitchen chemistry’, and should be fun.  The chemistry part is watching the baking soda and vinegar interact – for extra fun, you can add red food coloring to the vinegar to better look like lava, and really decorated the volcano.  Then ask Grandma and Grandpa about Mount St Helens . 

 Or you can be evil to my brother and insist that you really need to build a working model rocket for school.

i figure a few more responses like this, and my darling brother will want to strangle me by the time i come visit for thanksgiving.  and MBED's the oldest of the kids.... i will have years and years of fun ahead of me, encouraging my nieci and nephilim to do... explosive... science projects. :-D
