er, um, ah, did i actually *do* that?

i think i'm going to have to stop visiting seremela2's lj every day, tempting as it is.  her icon is just... so... lickable.  i mean, take a look.  who could resist a chest like that?  i know i'm having a tough time resisting.  ::stares a bit, not noticing the drool pooling at her feet::

and the thing is, if i get caught licking the screen at work, people are going to look at me funny.  either that, or my tongue will get frozen to the moniter - never can tell in this meatlocker.

so you want to be an engineer, part dew (mountain dew, that is...)

 so a friend of my mother's mentioned to her that her daughter *loved* October Sky, and is now thinking about becoming an aerospace engineer.  naturally, mom mentioned me.  i'm happy to mentor kids who want to be engineers, especially girls, so, i was glad when the daughter emailed me.  i probably replied with more information than she could shake a stick at, but she's in junior high, so she's got time to work on all the things i suggest.  behind the cut is the email i wrote to her, about things she should be doing to get ready for college.

the 2nd-to-last paragraph is obviously tilted toward the girl i'm answering, as not everyone's hobby will be art.  other than that, i think this is pretty good advice for minors considering going into engineering.  comments?
