well, sorry for disappearing so precipitously over the past couple weeks. i was going merrily along, and then AT&T whammed me with a billing error and blocked my line. i'm sorta glad they did, and sorta stressed out about it. they still haven't unblocked the dial-up modem line, but based on a couple of comments one of the customer service ladies made, i decided to go get cable internet. which necessitated, due to the extreme old age of my old laptop, upgrading my system sooner rather than later. so i'm typing this from my new machine, which is quite nice, although it will take some getting used to.
i want to be able to get the data off the old machine rather easily, tho, which may take some serious torture of the thing on my part.
in other news: my dr's visit with the new family practictioner went well. he gave me a script for paxil without asking, and understood when i explained about pill-splitting - yay!! he sent me for bloodwork because the last bloodwork in the file looks pretty scary. so that was good, esp as i realized just how dehydrated i was letting myself get, when i couldn't fill 3 little tubes with blood - only got 1.5. i will have to work on that. not sure how. flavored water, maybe, but not the carbonated stuff.
i'm glad the dr gave me the script so easily, because it feels like it's right in time. i'm coming up on one of my yearly down-swings, and i'm feeling exhausted from the move and stuff. basically, i think i'm coming off the first rush of adrenaline you get when you move to a new job and stuff. half of me is trying to cry at the drop of a hat, and the other half is irritated because i know i'm ok.
i reserved the airplane tix to libertycon. i have to send in my registration. pretty sure i reserved a car, too... although i never got a confirmation email on that :-p. i didn't reserve a hotel room yet, because i was thinking of rooming with warpcordova, who is now not sure he's going to be able to come down... i understand, but that kinda sucks, i want to see him. at any rate, i need to know if anyone's looking for a roommate or whatever at liberty.
