the plants are coming up!

so, a little over a week ago, i planted seed starts - chives, sage, onions, and beets.  the beets are definitely up, and i can see signs the other plants are going to break the surface soon! *bounces all over the place*

i *love* watching the garden stuff grow!

don't you mean spring? hee. i decided to try indoor starts this year, so these guys are all sitting on my kitchen counter. in NOLA, summer seems to be the 'not actually growing' season for plants.

We buy supplies for indoor starts, but the starting never happens. Some year!

I consider the middlest middle of winter to be Jan. 15-31. I put my head down and try to wish it over; but this weekend is supposed to be in the 40s (normal is 20s), which is just going to be odd.
