i love halloween :)

so yesterday, i went shopping at Target for halloween supplies.  i bought $135 of stuff, most of it candy.  the lady at the checkout, seeing all the candy on the belt, said, 'Wow, you must have a lot of children in your area!'

without missing a beat, i replied, 'Yep, they're called engineers.'

co-workers, gotta love 'em!

I love Halloween too, but I ALWAYS go out and party. (Most of my neighbors' kids are brats and aren't getting any free candy out of me.)

i'm not a party animal very much. i like to hand out candy, but we don't actually get a lot of kids in my neighborhood. most of the time, that's a-ok with me, but halloween, i totally want to see 'em all dudded up in cute little costumes, lol.

my neighborhood always has a street fair the Sat. before Halloween so I can see the kids in their costumes then (and some very imaginative adults, too, last year one guy was Zombie Hunter Thompson) and the local businesses give out candy. it's pretty fun.

New Orleans (i live nearby) has a sort of mini-Mardi Gras for halloween, and i've been told it's a lot of fun. i haven't been able to get down there to check things out, though. i always seem to be busiest right at this time of year.

I went to New Orleans last year on vacation and I absolutely LOVED it! I'm a huge music geek and a total foodie too so it was a natural.
