this should be easy, right?

so, i wanted to put up the last set of curtains in my second bedroom. this is normally a 20 minute process, right? this is how it went for me:
1) turn on the light, turn off the fan, just in case.
2) bring up the orange cordless drill, which i love, and assorted bits
3) measure the placement for the cheap curtain rod that will be totally hidden
4) drilllllllllllllll.............. sorta. the juice hath run out of the drill
5) clump back downstairs, stare at cell phone charger, and realize i probably pitched the drill's charger a couple of months ago when i was cleaning
6) check a couple places anyway
7) see if the cell phone charger works... it doesn't
8) well, that's the reason i have a backup drill. get it out, test it. it works, *but*
9) charge it anyway, because it's been a long time since i used it.
10) take a nap while the batteries are charging
11) wake up, pop the batteries back in the drill, take the thing upstairs.
12) measure for where i want the rod-holders that will be seen to be...
13) .... only to discover i didn't buy the rest of the hardware!
14) trip to lowe's. no battery charger for the orange drill, but got other stuff
15) while i'm out, i might as well check hobby lobby to see if they have tassel ornaments on sale.
16) they don't, but they do have some things for my mini-diorama and wind chimes for the garden on sale. awesome.
17) and i'm hungry. pizza hut!
18) finally get back home. eat first. get sucked into 'extreme makeover:home edition'
19) around 9pm, go back upstairs with my goodies to put up the curtains
20) only get about half done - i need a hammer
21) go back downstairs, realize my back hurts, give up for the night
22) fortunately, i'll finish today.
my next project is registering on ebay. piece of cake, right? right?
