2024 TO DO List

boogieshoesI can't believe I haven't done this since before C19. 2020 just went to heck in a handbasket, didn't it? I feel like we're still climbing out of that mess. For a number of reasons, this will be a lot shorter than the last few times, mostly because I'm trying to make it achievable, hah. In between 2020 and now, my prior roommate moved out, I've done some house painting, and my old dog died, and I got a new dog. New!dog is the definition of 'impish child', lol. And now, on with the show.
HOUSEHOLD MAINTENANCE
1) I need to fix to put gutters on the house. This is so I can do Garden and Yard number 1.
2) I'd like to actually expand the parking pad this year. I'm not sure it's going to happen, but it's important to do it soon, so I can build a gypsy vardo for SCA camping. I'm feeling a bit too old to keep putting up tents and sleep on the ground.
3) If at all possible, I need to do some painting in the master bedroom. If not the master bedroom, I'd like to do the painting updates of the guest bath.
4) I definitely need to go around the house and repair drywall and spot-repair paint. Old roommate ended up in a powerchair and accidentally scraped up a lot of walls. TBF, the doorways and hallways are narrow...
GARDEN PLANS
1) I've stopped doing a garden for a bit. It's just been too hard to do everything. Also, we have cr$p soil down here, and it makes even flower gardending hard.
LANDSCAPING
1) Price how much it would cost to turn the front ditch into a River Runs Through It
2) I have contacted a local landscaper and am on their list... but I have to get gutters first. Priority on my list with the landscaper is fixing the front patch, maybe with a sitting area.
SCA SKILL SETS
a) continue to work on embroidery skills.
b) hopefully i can find the time to work on some archery this year.
c) I am my local group's A&S officer this year, so skill sets will include being a good officer.

1) Laney's sampler - it's calling to me, and also, she's getting married in 2024!
2) My second-oldest niece is also getting married this year, so I want to do a small/ quick wedding piece for her
3) I'd like to do some work on my pandemic piece
4) finally, i'd like to make some progress on the hardanger piece i started, which turned into 'and also Abbie's memorial piece'
FANNISH ENDEAVORS
I have been low-activitiy on fandom for a long time, and I'm trying to get back in, a bit more.This year I want to do at least:
1) Finish Upload stories to Dreamwidth, and AO3
2) If I do manage to get a Desk set back up in the office, start organizing myself a bit better for fannish activities.
PERSONAL ADMINISTRATION
Ok, I'm keeping this here. I need this reminder. Also, I almost paid off the CC, then things happened last year which put a bunch more $$ on it - sigh...
1) Organize household items, including
a) disaster kit
2) Continue going through electric files: pitch/ keep/ organize
3) Make the database for my library
4) Maintain bill filing system
5) Convert VHS and audio tapes to updated platforms. (Contingent on buying platform converters)
6) Make a list of cyclical maintenance duties and times due.
7) pay good chunk of personal CC
HEALTH MAINTENANCE
I've actually lost 35 lbs this last year. Then I found out my uterine cancer came back, and I couldn't prevent myself from stress-eating to gain 5lbs. My goal for the next year is 1) don't let the cancer beat me and 2) continue to lose weight.
FURNITURE PROJECTS
Section in waiting... I'm sure plenty of things will come up...

Wish list is being heavily paired down, but there are some things I'd like to get
1) Michael Amini Villa Vallencia bedside chest for the LR
2) Step runing board for Zeke
3) Reclined stepper bike for exercise room
4) fix grandpa's lamp
5) fix the lamp in the guest bed
