Um, I'm going to contest this on several grounds. First off, it's flat-out misogynistic to characterize what boogieshoes said as valuing her paycheck over spending time with her (theoretical) kids. Nobody warns a man that he'll be "embarrassed" to have said that he wants to provide financially for his family or suggests that that wish indicates a substandard level of commitment to his progeny (we don't even object to the idea that women want their offspring to be well provided for, as long as they make that happen by marrying the highest bidder).
And the logic vs. emotional decision basis here isn't really what's at play (unless you feel that you would find it more personally satisfying to change diapers and watch Barney videos than it is to make things fly but you're prepared to give up a lifetime supply of burp cloths for the rocket scientist paycheck). This isn't logic vs. emotion, this is reason vs. dogma. It's challenging antiquated stereotypes about what you should be and embracing who you are and what you want. Anonymous here is telling you that you shouldn't want what you want and shouldn't be what you are, and you know what? Fuck him and the stunted pony he rode in on. And if that isn't an emotional enough response, just let me know, I can take it up a notch.
