things what crack me up...
Jun. 7th, 2012 04:20 pmso, i just got back from shopping, which i managed to hit 2 stores in 45min. helps that they were right next door to each other, but still. one of them was Bed Bath and Beyond, because i slipped in the shower yesterday and jammed one of my toes really good. so: shower mat, and also a natural sea sponge to bathe with, because i found out via my louffa yesterday that the stiffer material will do better at exfoliating dead skin cells. and since i've got medication-induced dry skin, this is somewhat of a necessity.
next stop: Dress Barn, which has good clothes at reasonable prices. i bought 1 top and 5 pair of capri pants - two blue jeans, 3 work slacks-style. basically, i finally caved to the heat down here. there was one pair i thought i'd gotten in my size - 24 - but turns out i'm a 22, which the store didn't have today. maybe I'll stop in on Saturday and see if they've got more.
what cracks me up? the slacks-style capris fit my length of leg almost perfectly, instead of hitting at mid-calf. i was laughing at myself in the dressing room, it was so funny. but they're summer-weight gear, so even though they're nearly ankle length on me, they'll still be cooler in the summers here.
total cost for today's trip: about $250, all told.
and also, i apparently can't type anymore. :-p
