the Dragon-Lady is gone :(

I just learned that Anne McCaffrey died today at 85.

I wish her well on her journey.  McCaffrey's Pern series, despite - or perhaps because of - all of it's problems remains in my 'all-time favorites' category.  I also enjoyed the Crystal Singer series, and the wonderful Brain-Braun ships.  Such incredible talent will be missed.
