so, i mentioned the other day that my birthday present from Mom and Dad was shopping - i asked Dad to get me some jewelry to go with a dress I had in mind to wear to the Mobile Ballet. i got the dress this afternoon - i was so excited i was jumping up and down and talking *way* too fast to be understood, hee.

those of you who know how much of a girly-girl i am should be really proud of me - i think this is the first time i've ever willingly bought a dress for mundane purposes in my life. the dress was only $80, and i bought a purse and some shapewear because the dress is clingy, and i have a huge butt, and it showed all the things you don't want to show to the world about your butt... worse than spandex. also, i think i'm going to have to get it tailored, because it looks like it's supposed to be ankle-length, and it sort of drags the ground on me. :-p i can't wait to get some season tickets to the ballet - the Mobile Ballet is onl $113 per adult per *season* for the really good seats. i'm looking at the chart, and i can't decide if i want to be front orchestra or lower mezzanine.
*bounce bounce*
i also got a popcorn popper, because you never get a second chance to make a first impression...
-bs, off to read Runners, by Gil Hale
P.S. i just finished re-reading Mean Streets by Violette, and decided i liked Runners slightly better, because we get more Chris-Vin, Chris-Ezra, and Ezra-Vin interaction in Runners. Mean Streets is great, but Violette *totally* needs to write a sequal to it. for that matter, Gil Hale needs to write a sequal to Runners. what is it with these authors, leaving me waiting for *years* for sequals to my favorite stories?
PPS. what, you guys in fandom haven't figured out yet that the world revolves around me?
PPPS. well, it should. *nodnods firmly*
