exciting news on the job front
Oct. 8th, 2010 07:40 pmwell, i got contacted by a recruitment company on wednesday for a job in the marine field (ie, ships and boats) that's based out of arlington, VA. it's a 6mo contract to direct job for a leading company, and when/if the company hires me directly, excellent benefits to follow. i had a few misgivings after reviewing the website thursday, but today, upon receiving a few reassurances as to the company's expectations of their future employees, i told recruiter-guy to go ahead and sell me to the company. (does that sound like i'm a slave or what? but i get paid good $$ for it, so i'm not complaining, hehe.)
so i guess i'd classify this as a firm possible - i'm assuming i'm going to get interviewed by the company, and of course that's a possibly failure point, but this is still really good news. :-D
wish me luck everyone!

PS - those of you who have heard me speak about this opportunity, please don't mention the company name in connection with me. i have a firm policy of keeping lj-life separate from business life. thanks.
