weekend round-up

…so, this weekend, i tried to get my oil changed. i went to wal-mart, hoping for a quick in-and-out, and they came back and told me they couldn’t do it, because i had a leak at the bottom of my car, one of the gaskets. ok.  so i go to firestone, and *they* asked me how old the car is… it’s got 250k+ miles on it. hmm.  they don’t want to do it either, said to take it to an engine shop, get *all* the gaskets in the oil system replaced… oi. the shop they recommended is, fortunately, across the street from work. *unfortunately*, it’s also only open monday thru friday, 0800-1700, meaning that tonight i take it in, do the paperwork tonight, but drop it off tuesday morning and hope they get it done in one day.

and that was saturday. sunday, i had to come in to work. 4 hrs later, decided to go get some garden stuff, which is still my car, and go home. ah, home. still decorated for Christmas. starting to think about pulling that stuff down. at any rate, around 1830, i put in the Wii version of DDR. did the warm-up, fine, then did some of the ‘easier’ dances, had fun, but 5min later, my hip starts screaming at me. owie, owie, owie! orthopedic appt this weekend, but i *have* to do something that’s aerobic, to get the weight off. i know it, and i need to keep at it, but intense pain while doing it kinda sucks ass, y/y?

and someone tell me if they’ve seen this storyline before. i had one of those dreams last night that was *so real*, i could have sworn i’d either had it before, *or* had seen the whole thing on tv and was re-creating it in my dream-mind. in fact, *during* the dream, both of those thoughts occurred to me.
