weekend round-up
Dec. 14th, 2009 09:39 amso, i felt like this weekend was productive. i:
-finished decorating the tree. the bottom 1/4 has no ornaments, because i went with the 'cram it all in' method this year instead of last year's 'tastefully spaced out' method of ornament hanging. also, i now have a tree-topper. it's a pretty, multi-colored star. and it is awesome.
- all the letters have been mailed except for soldiergrrrl's, who hasn't got back to me with a snail mail addy yet. *waits patiently*
-the table decorations are out, it looks fantastic
-found grandpa's music book. it hid by changing colors on me in the sun. this was important, because my answer to the Dunne's Darlins' list challenge a couple weeks ago is an obligatory song fic, based on one of grandpa's songs. so i feel i can write it now. i also feel like i need to find the family history folder grandma put together, just to make sure it's still around. it *was* a yellow folder - no idea what color it is now. :-p
- finished sewing trim on the linen underdress, which mini-project was supposed to be finished by halloween, but got sidetracked.
- sewed a new cloak clasp on my cloak, which mini-project was supposed to have been done *years* ago...
-presents wrapped and under the tree, except for the adults, whom i haven't finished yet.
- recieved a few Christmas cards, including one from spartanwerewolf, who officially holds my heart forever :-) :-)
- confirmed that Kentbob and Sparky in the sandbox got their Christmas goodie boxes from me, but Major Lightweight evidently hasn't seen his boxes yet. *frets*
- finally got around to hearing Susan Boyle sing. Day-um. i mean, just - *DAY-UM*!
the one thing i didn't do was go to Christmas Revel. in a way, i'm glad, because i knew i was *asking* to get sick if i went, even for a daytrip. and i was right, it was cold and rainy all saturday. otoh, i wish i'd felt able to go, because i miss my SCA friends, and i'd like to have seen everything. hopefully, pics will be up soon.
cookies are on the agenda for tonight. *nodnods*
