cross-stitch lust
Oct. 5th, 2009 12:19 pmdear self, i need to talk to you.
self, you want to buy a house. actually, self, you NEED to buy a house, because you're about to explode out of your current abode what with the seasonal decorations, knick-knacks, bedding (yes, bedding, shut up), hobbie supplies, furniture, and books. yes, in fact, let's think about the books... which are taking over everywhere, and growing in number like weeds in a garden.
and speaking of garden, you need more gardening *space*, so you can grow more than just herbs for your larder. you know, your dream of growing and canning enough vegatables and fruits on your own land so you don't actually have to buy them at the store? even just for one person, that takes space. space which costs money.
so, self, you really DO NOT NEED more cross-stitch kits, patterns, and supplies. no, not as a Christmas treat to yourself. no, not because mom/sis/sis-in-law/nieces/BK/strega/on of the guys would think it was *so cool* to get. and most certainly, you do not need a complete set of beads/threads/silks/ cross-stitching cloth just in case you want to kit something up yourself, *because you never do stuff like that!*
you don't need those nifty puzzles from the 'Bits 'n' Pieces' catalog, either. you don't even have a place to do them, much less store them. so just don't go there, ok?
just say, no self.
or better yet, say 'house with a big yard that i can garden and let the dog run around in!'
geez, self, the things i have to do for you....
