mom did good the other day; she finally found earrings i can wear. those of you who know me via the bar chatroom know that i'm ridiculously allergic to nickel. so much so that until now i haven't been able to wear anything non-gold for more than 2 hours, and gold for only 3, before my ears start to react. the nickel allergy is so bad that i have a hard time wearing metal necklaces and i even break out to the clasp on an otherwise non-metal strand.
but... mom found these earrings by 'croft & barrow' that are nickel-*free* - and only $7! i wore 'em for more than 3 hours this morning, and no reaction at *all*. not even in my right ear, which i ended up making bleed trying to find the back hole in the piercing.
i'm a happy mare, right now - cause i *never* thought i'd be able to wear *anything*. and jewelry's actually kinda fun.
i'm still not gonna wear that funky make-up stuff, tho!

EDIT: craft & barrow are apparently a part of Kohl's, and don't have their own homepage. darn. i hate the way our local Kohl's is put together, tho, so i'll prolly end up getting stuff from them online.
