2011 To-Do List

So, as many of you know, I moved to Mobile this year for a new job.  Yay job!  With a new job comes a new place and etc, and at this job, I will be making enough to really save up for a house.  That's going to be a major goal of mine, thus, this year's To-Do List is going to be fairly short, since it's going to have a lack of stuff on it.

So, let's start with the easy stuff:


The Garden!

There is no Garden things on the to-do list.  I have no Garden this year.

1) Even so, I'm going to buy 2 6" plants.
                  ETA 2/26: And at that, i bought 3 plants, 3 plastic pots, plant food, potting mix and pruners.  i'm such  a dork!


Cross-stitch:

1) Finish up the basket for Tegan
2) In rotation:
    a) Tiger
    b) Mag7 doggies
    c) Cardinals
    d) Sylvia's towel
    e) 12 of the freebie stitches from the magazines

Fandom Activities:

1) I still... have those two essays on writing to finish!
2) Finish Seventh Gift
3) See if I can't make progress on the TS cross-over
4) Upload stories to Dreamwidth, and AO3
5) Start Projects on:
    a) LB!JD is actually a girl
    b) Alternate Ending to 'Something Wicked'
6) Finish alternate ending tale for the Little Match Girl story


Personal Admin:

1) Get Files off 1st old Laptop
2) Sort those files and store
3) Get files off 2nd old Laptop
4) Sort those files and store
5) Save 100% of house-buying and closing costs


Wood-working/ Furniture/ House stuff:

1) Finish that silly chair!
    a) make cushion
    b) make two matching wood sides
    c) staple fabric to chair top
    d) on bottom, use wooden-bead trim to finish

2) Take apart Dad's furniture
3) Possibly buy
    a) computer desk kit
                      i.  hello shocks for car!
    b) night-stand kit
    c) Desktop computer
                    i.   hello shocks for car!
    d) electric fireplace
          *need to put it together
    e) Ott-lite for stitching

Health:

1) Swim during spring/summer/fall (frequency TBD)
2) Keep eye on weight, with goal of losing 1lb/week
3) Post-ankle, try to exercise 30min each week

Things left to do from moving:

1) unbox text books
2) transfer books from broken plastic boxes to unbroken ones
3) take cardboard boxes to trash
4) go through for Goodwill stuff and take to Goodwill

6) put up and organize DVDs
7) file magazines
8) file bills and important documents
9) collect and put up empty plastic boxes
10) pitch old porch swing fabric
11) buy new porch swing fabric
12) buy stove-top covers
13) roll over 401k to USAA
14) roll over DL to AL license
15) buy washer/dryer and have them installed
                  * i forgot to account for the exhaust hose - oops!  this resulted in needing to:
                            a) re-do the dining room again
                            b) redo the storage unit
16) Organize Craft Area
17) Get AL tags on car
18) Register Car in AL
19) AL brake tags
20) file moving receipts with Beth
