*nodnods* i may have Asperger's myself - never dx'd, but have many of the traits - and i wholeheartedly agree. the example i brought up was literally where i was with my first/only boyfriend, lo these many years ago. i wasn't in a headspace where i *could* say no, *but*, that's not related to Asperger's, if i have it.
instead, i know very much, and have never been confused about, the fact that it's *completely* related to the assault that happened when i was 7. a *lot* of the undertones in that relationship were more of the result of my personal PTSD/ coping methods due to the assault than anything like healthy functioning.
i view being neuro-atypical like being double-jointed. 'healthy' may not present the same as others, but it's not a *disability* either.
